The Giraffe Cause
The Safari Collection’s The Footprint Foundation firmly believes we should tread delicately on our planet, leaving behind footprints made only by sandy toes. They aim to share the incredible natural wonders of East Africa and be passionate protectors of it. They take the responsibility to reduce their resource use and environmental pollution seriously. By uniting sustainable tourism, conservation and community, they aim to achieve an ecological balance and live in harmony with their environment, protecting it for our children’s children. The Footprint Foundation was formed to protect their environment and impact positively on the communities theywork alongside. They call it their Footprint.
The Footprint Foundation's deep commitment to the incredible African wildlife and landscapes forms the very backbone of its ethos. It is fundamentally a part of who they are and one of their core reasons for being. By uniting tourism, community and conservation, they work towards a long-term vision of preserving the wilderness for future generations. They support various carefully chosen conservation initiatives, empowering local communities and cultivating new attitudes towards wildlife and its protection.
They champion a wide range of community outreach initiatives covering health care, clean water provision, female empowerment and education to improve the lives of people we work alongside, as well as taking the responsibility to reduce, reuse and recycle very seriously – from water to waste and food miles to reforestation.By running a successful SUSTAINABLE business that supports local economic and social development and reduces resource use and environmental pollution, they have achieved ecological harmony and well-being for all.
